Amanda is an ordained Deacon in the UMC who specializes in Christian Education. As a Deacon, she works to link the Church and the World by providing opportunities for mission and outreach beyond the walls of the building, as well as connecting those within them to each other. She earned a BA in Music from the University of Evansville and completed both an MA in Christian Education and an MA in Music Ministry from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.
Amanda grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but has lived in Huntsville since 2008 when she married her husband, Stephen. Together they have two children, Scott and Lauren.
Amanda has worked with people from a wide variety of economic and cultural backgrounds in both urban and suburban settings and celebrates the beauty and diversity of God’s creation through God’s people. She has a deep passion for helping people to grow in faith and especially for encouraging young people to make their faith their own.
Amanda is excited to see what God has in store for Ford’s Chapel!
