Advent Sacred Pause – Lakewood UMC
December 4 @ 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

During this Advent season, you are invited to a sacred pause each Thursday at 12:30 PM at Lakewood UMC—a time set apart for quiet learning, gentle practice, and deeper awareness of God’s presence. Advent invites us to wait, to listen, and to prepare our hearts. Together we will explore simple ways of resting in God’s love, opening ourselves to grace, and nurturing peace within and around us.
Each gathering will include a brief reflection, a shared period of silent prayer, and time for conversation about the experience. No prior experience is needed, only a willingness to be still and open to God. This is an opportunity to slow down, breathe, and let the season speak to your heart in a new way.
Come as you are, bring your curiosity and openness, and step into this rhythm of holy attentiveness as we journey toward the light of Christ’s birth.
This sacred event is facilitated by Dr. Robert Ferrell, NAC Spiritual Formation Team member.
