What a blessing it is to be a part of the Ford’s Chapel family! I have really appreciated the warm welcome that my family and I have received. With over two hundred years of history, Ford’s Chapel has chosen to follow God into the future, changing with the times while maintaining a strong faith in the God who is the same “yesterday, today and tomorrow.”
This summer I am enjoying getting to know folks, listening to and learning the hopes and dreams that the church family holds dear. If you are involved in the life of Ford’s Chapel, I encourage you to share with me, either in person or by email (dawebster@fordschapel.org) your thoughts, hopes and dreams as pertain to the life of the church. If you are looking for a church home, I invite you to come check us out, and to share the desires of your heart. Perhaps God is leading us to walk this walk of faith together. Most important, I want us to share in times of discernment, that we might hear God’s heart and will for this Body of Christ.
Authenticity and integrity are two values I cherish. I want to always be real in my witness, and to reflect my faith in the way I live. I appreciate that kind of openness and honesty from others, so when I say I want to hear your hopes and dreams, and the leadings you are experiencing from God, I mean that sincerely. We may not always agree on things, and we may hear slightly different messages from God, but we can experience God’s blessings when we walk together with respect as we grow in faith and grace.
I look forward to the blessings God has for Ford’s Chapel in the days ahead.
Grace and peace,
Dorothy Ann
