Youth

Driven Ministries is the youth ministry of Ford's Chapel UMC. We are a ministry that is driven to love, driven to serve, and driven to bring glory to God in all that we do. Our mission statement comes from 1 Peter 4:9-11 that says, "Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. If you speak, you should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If you serve, you should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ." In all that we do we want to be a blessing to God and to others so that God may be glorified.

Weekly Schedule:

Sunday morning worship at 9a.m. (Contemporary) or 11a.m. (Traditional).

Junior High Sunday School (grades 6-8th) 10a.m.

Senior High Sunday School (grades 9-12th) 10a.m.

Senior High small group sunday afternoon at 5p.m.

Wednesday Night fellowship at 6p.m.

Wednesday Night Fellowship

Every wednesday night at 6 we have our youth worship service in the small chapel. We meet together and play games, worship through music, and have teaching that challenges us to live for God. Over the next five weeks (Oct. 14-Nov 11th) we will studying "Prayer" which will challenge the students to think about what prayer is and how prayer conects us with Jesus. We will conclude our series on "Prayer" with a prayer journey on Nov. 11th that the students will help create so invite your friends and come!

Senior High Small Group

Senior High Small group meets every sunday afternoon at 5p.m. in the youth room. We are currently studying Michael Novelli's "Shaped by the Story" as we look at God's story of love for us that is revealed in his love letter; the Bible. Afterwards we go out to eat!

High School Breakfast

The last Friday of every month (during the school year) we host a community prayer breakfast for those who are in grades 9-12 at 6:45am.

5th Quarter

After every friday home football game for Sparkman high school we host a 5th quarter. We have pizza, soda's, and games for the youth so invite your friends and come hangout and have fun.

ASP

Angel Food

The Last Saturday of each month Ford's Chapel UMC is a pick-up for Angel Food in the Harvest area. This is a great opportunity for youth to serve locally in the church and they have done so faithfully. We meet at 7a.m. to help pack boxes and load them into cars as people come by to pick up their orders.
